The Committee of the Puerto Rican Festival " Hijos de Borinquen " have been organizing their annual celebration of the Puerto Ricans in the city of the Lowell, Massachusetts, since 1980. Through out the years, our community has given Lowell an introduction to Puerto Rican customs, which include music, ethnic food, dance, poetry, drama and speeches.
In the city of Lowell and adjacent cities reside thousands of Puerto Ricans who long from their homeland, and some day hope to return to reside in our "Isla del Encanto" permanently. We do not forget our people, our culture, nor ours roots.
The Puerto Rican Cultural Festival will be celebrating its 27th annual Festival at the Boarding House Park in the heart of the Lowell National Historical Park on July 8th 2007. As part of our preparation for this event, the committee is putting together our itinerary that will feature the events scheduled for the day and evening.
This is an opportunity for business to market them selves in conjunction, supporting the event and our culture.
The people of Puerto Rico in Lowell request your presence, so that our city continues the tradition that our ancestors left us.

The Championship 2007 " Eduardo Mariani" Domino Tournament will begin at 1:30pm. The final TWO teams that will be competing for the cup are as follow:
The "Federacion Hispana de Deportes (Los Diamantes)" and the "Federacion Latina de Deportes (Unidos)". The first team to win 13 games will be crown with the cup. Good Luck!

A domino tournament sponsored by Budweiser in memory of Eduardo Mariani (Macho) is currently active since June 8th and will finish on July 8th at Boarding House Park in Lowell, during the Lowell Puerto Rican Cultural Festival.
